1944-D Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-031

Description

Doubling shows as an extra eyelid to the south, doubling inside the 9 to the south, and doubling under TY in LIBERTY. Die Markers: Obverse: Die scratches run NE/SW left of and through 19 in the date. Light die scratches run mostly north to south through ERT in LIBERTY. Reverse: Heavy die scratch/gouge running through lower S in PLURIBUS to the upper left side of the second dot. Criss-crossing die scratches run through STATES.
