Description
Two extra eyelids can be found just under the normal eyelid. Die Markers: Obverse: The obverse of this variety is also an RPM that is listed in the Wexler RPM Files as 1944-D 1¢ WRPM-003, a D/D North. Nearly horizontal and parallel die scratches can be found on Lincoln’s cheek to the right of his lower ear. Short die scratches can be found on the collar to the upper left of the bow tie. Reverse: A nearly vertical die scratch can be found to the left of the C in CENT. A small die gouge (dot) can be found inside the upper D in UNITED.
