Class II, Distorted Hub DoublingA close Class II spread shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM and AMERICA. Die Markers: Obverse: Stage A: Listed as 1944-D 5c WDDO-003. Stage B: Obverse die changed. Two converging die cracks at the top of the head. Die chip at the back of the head. Die gouge at the lips. Reverse: Series of die scratches above small right window. Die dent at the rim above the UM in UNUM. Stage B: NW/SE die crack through the right side of the dome. Die crack along the top right edge of the roof to the rim. N/S die scratches above the M and right of the last O in MONTICELLO. Thin N/S die scratch left of the mintmark D. Weak NW/SE die scratches above the left porch. Die gouge above the left side of the E in UNITED. Listed as WRPM-008
