Description

1943-S WDDO-007 is a doubled die obverse on the 1943-S Lincoln Wheat cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The letters of LIBERTY show a Class V CW spread pivoting at 3:00. Obverse markers: two scratches heading SSE from the space between the E and R of LIBERTY, at their bottoms; a short scratch heading SW from the base of the G in GOD; two long, nearly parallel scratches running NNW from the 94 of the date; and three vertical scratches left of the back of the neck. Reverse markers: a vertical scratch between the C and E of CENT; a vertical scratch beside the top of the C in CENT, on its left; and a nearly vertical scratch right of the lower E in ONE. Dustin Farris submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as 3-O-V.
