Description
An extra eyelid can be found above the normal eyelid. Die Markers: Obverse: Strong die scratches can be found on the center of the collar just below the neck. A die crack runs from WSW to ENE through the upper forehead. A die crack runs across the base of the bust. Reverse: The reverse of this variety is a strong doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Fie Files as 1943 1¢ WDDR-004. A die gouge can be found to the right of the P in PLURIBUS. A die scratch runs ENE from the upper E of AMERICA to the lower A of STATES. A short, nearly vertical die scratch can be found below the left side of the O in ONE. Obverse:
