Description
The 1943 Doubled Die Obverse DDO-007 is a doubled die obverse (DDO) variety, where a misalignment during the die hubbing process created visible doubling on the obverse design elements. This variety was discovered on the 1943 Lincoln Wheat Cent, part of the Lincoln Wheat Cents 1909-1958 series. Die markers: UVC-1552 DMR-008 Stage A: Obverse is EDS Reverse is LISTED as DDR-007 – EMDS Die crack from Right leg of the second U of PLURIBUS South to the Right leg of the N of CENT Stage B: MDS (unconfirmed) Stage C: LDS (unconfirmed).
