1943 Doubled Die Obverse DDO-003
Error
Description
The 1943 Doubled Die Obverse DDO-003 is a doubled die obverse (DDO) variety, where a misalignment during the die hubbing process created visible doubling on the obverse design elements. This variety was discovered on the 1943 Lincoln Wheat Cent, part of the Lincoln Wheat Cents 1909-1958 series. Die markers: UVC-1548 DMR-004 Stage A: Obverse is EDS Die crack from middle of the Right wheat to rim – MDS Stage B: MDS (unconfirmed) Stage C: LDS (unconfirmed). I need to see a specimen of this doubled die for new color photos and die stage information.
