Description
1941 WDDO-024 is a doubled die obverse on the 1941 Lincoln Wheat cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. East of the normal eyelid sits an extra eyelid. On the obverse, a short WNW/ESE scratch lies right of the top of GOD's D. The reverse is a doubled die too, which Wexler's doubled die files list as 1941 1¢ WDDR-011, with doubling on the upper right wheat ear, EPU (E PLURIBUS UNUM), and the dots. A short gouge extends west from the R of PLURIBUS at its lower left. Nicholas Hurley submitted the variety. The Coppercoins number is 1941P-1DO-038.
