Description
1941 WDDO-020 is a doubled die obverse on the 1941 Lincoln Wheat cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling appears on the last T of TRUST. Obverse: a diagonal scratch inside GOD's D; a short gouge below the lower right of GOD's G; and small gouges on the lapel under the bowtie. Reverse: a scratch joining the bottoms of UNUM's U and M, and two short scratches heading NNW off the right wheat ear's top. Eric Axtell submitted the variety. The Coppercoins number is 1941P-1DO-015. Wexler notes the die was cross-referenced using a high-grade coin that shows the markers of both WDDO-020 and 1DO-015.
