Description
Reverse: Die Markers: Obverse: The obverse of this variety is a doubled die listed in the Wexler Files as 1940-S 10¢ WDDO-006. A close spread towards the center shows on the date, the designer’s initials, and slightly on IGWT. A small die gouge can be found to the left of the upper T in LIBEERTY. Reverse: Parallel die scratches run from NW to SE between the E in ONE and the mintmark. Numerous N/S die scratches can be found throughout the reverse. Obverse:
