Description
The 1940 Doubled Die Reverse DDR-014 is a doubled die reverse (DDR) variety, where die hubbing misalignment produced visible doubling on the reverse design. This variety was discovered on the 1940 Lincoln Wheat Cent, part of the Lincoln Wheat Cents 1909-1958 series. Die markers: UVC-2515 DMR-018 Stage A: Die gouge over LU of PLURIBUS – EMDS Obverse is LISTED as DDO-004 – EMDS Stage B: Die crack in lower Right wheat grains – MDS Die crack through V. D.
