1937 Doubled Die Obverse DDO-007
Error
Description
The 1937 Doubled Die Obverse DDO-007 is a doubled die obverse (DDO) variety, where a misalignment during the die hubbing process created visible doubling on the obverse design elements. This variety was discovered on the 1937 Lincoln Wheat Cent, part of the Lincoln Wheat Cents 1909-1958 series. Die markers: UVC-1376 DMR-010 Stage A: EDS (unconfirmed) Stage B: MDS (unconfirmed) Stage C: Obverse is LMDS Die crack from upper Right wheat grains to rim – LMDS Stage D: LDS (unconfirmed). I need to see a specimen of this doubled die for new color photos and die stage information.
