Description

As the primary doubled die obverse for the final year of Buffalo Nickel production, this 1937 DDO-001 holds both the foundational -001 catalog position and the distinction of belonging to James Earle Fraser's last regular-issue design year before the Jefferson Nickel replaced it in 1938.
