Description
The 1936 Doubled Die Obverse DDO-003 is a doubled die obverse (DDO) variety, where a misalignment during the die hubbing process created visible doubling on the obverse design elements. This variety was discovered on the 1936 Lincoln Wheat Cent, part of the Lincoln Wheat Cents 1909-1958 series. Die markers: UVC-1338 DMR-005 Stage A: Obverse and Reverse are EDS Stage B: Obverse and Reverse are MDS Stage C: Obverse and Reverse are LDS. Cross-referenced as FS-103. First hubbing had the broken Left leg of R in LIBERTY. FS-103 (16).
