1930 Lincoln Wheat Cent - Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-003

Description

1930 WDDO-003 is a doubled die obverse on the 1930 Lincoln Wheat cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. A weak extra eyelid lies just south of the main eyelid. Obverse: a SW-to-NE scratch to the left of the collar's back; a scratch extending NE from the vest below the 1 of the date; and another scratch in the lower ear. Reverse: a SW-to-NE scratch inside the C of CENT, at its center; a scratch running NE from the upper right of the second T in STATES; a strong scratch extending NNW off the E of UNITED, from its left side; a scratch from the top of CENT's T, at its center, to the E of ONE at its lower right; and a scratch running NW from the lower right of the E in UNITED. Russ LeBeau submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
