1927 Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-001

Description

Cataloged by the Wexler Team as 1927 1¢ WDDO-001, this Lincoln Wheat Cent exhibits a very nice Class I clockwise (CW) rotated hub spread visible on the date, LIBERTY, and the letters of IN GOD WE TRUST — a rotational doubling pattern where the secondary hub impression was twisted clockwise relative to the primary, producing displacement that varies in direction around the die face.
