Error
Description
Discovered by David Close, VAM-7 identifies a 1925 San Francisco Peace Dollar with doubled DO in DOLLAR and doubling on the eagle's wing. Reverse B2g shows doubled bottom of D and top inside of O, slight doubling of the eagle's right edge from neck to leg, two top olive leaves, and middle wing feathers. Classified II 1 B2g, rated I-3 R-5 — the I-3 reflects visual prominence across lettering and anatomical elements. San Francisco struck only about 1.61 million Peace Dollars in 1925, one of the lowest S-mint totals, limiting any variety's surviving population.
