Attributed by VarietyVista under die classification UVC-1272 with marker reference DMR-003, this 1924 Philadelphia Lincoln Wheat Cent presents a doubled die reverse showing medium extra thickness on E PLURIBUS UNUM, the dots flanking the denomination, both wheat stems, and the lower letters of AMERICA. The die progressed through three documented stages: Stage A in early die state remains unconfirmed, Stage B shows both the reverse and obverse in mid die state, and Stage C finds both sides in late die state. The 1924 Philadelphia cent was produced in substantial quantities with a mintage exceeding 75 million pieces, giving variety hunters ample opportunity to locate surviving examples in circulated grades.
