1901 Indian Head Cent - Typical Die Clash TDC-1C-1901-01

Description

TDC-1c-1901-01 is a typical die clash on a 1901 Indian Head cent, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes, made by a tilted die. MDC's overlay shows roughly where the dies sat when they clashed. On the obverse, the C of CENT shows in front of Liberty's nose. On the reverse, the outline of her features left a line that starts at the O of ONE, crosses the C of CENT and ends at the leaf left of the bow. The coin is courtesy of Bob Russell.
