Description
1900-O VAM-22C2 (Privately made) Very Near Date, High O Set Right, Tilted Left 22C2'(Privately made) III23 · C4a (Very Near Date, High O Set Right, Tilted Left) (181) Obverse III23– Date set much further left than normal. Three long die scratches from rim between UN in UNUM. Same counterfeit die as used for 1900-O VAM-5 micro O. Same indents in field at top of cap and upper right of right 0 in date as 1900-O VAM-5 and 1900-O VAM-22C1. Reverse C4a–' Medium III O mint mark set high and to right with slight tilt to left. Rounded design where it meets field. Fine raised dots around letters and design. Filled e in We. Only known C4 reverse design type for 1900 O and was likely counterfeit copy mistake.
