Description
1900-O VAM-22C2 (Privately made) Very Near Date, High O Set Right, Tilted Left 22C2'(Privately made) III23 · C4a (Very Near Date, High O Set Right, Tilted Left) (181) Obverse III23– Date set much further left than normal. Three long die scratches from rim between UN in UNUM. Same counterfeit die as used for [[1900-O VAM-5 micro O. Same indents in field at top of cap and upper right of right 0 in date as [[1900-O VAM-5 and [[1900-O VAM-22C1. Reverse C4a–' Medium III O mint mark set high and to right with slight tilt to left. Rounded design where it meets field. Fine raised dots around letters and design. Filled e in We. Only known C4 reverse design type for 1900 O and was likely counterfeit copy mistake. Counterfeit cast die of possibly copy of [[1903-O VAM-8 reverse with same mint mark position and tilt.
