Description
1899-O VAM-15 Near Date, Doubled 1-9, High O Discovered by Guy Messing, October 1975. 15 III2 9 • C3i (Near Date, Doubled 89, High O) Obverse III2 9 - 1 doubled below upper crossbar. Second 9 doubled strongly on top and bottom left inside of upper loop. Reverse C3i - Mint mark set high and shifted to the right. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: Image in the 3rd and 4th edition VAM book is flipped left-to-right as a result of the negative being flipped for printing. The image in the 2nd edition is correct, as is the image shown below.
