Open 9's. Reverse C3b - Heavy die cracks through tops of UNITED STATES AMERICA with die breaks between TE and ST. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: Based on the discovery of an uncirculated, earlier die state example VAM 18A was redesignated VAM 11A. The early die stage, with cracks but no breaks, is quite common in uncirculated grades, while the VAM 11A stage with the die breaks seems to only show up in circulated grades.
