1891-S VAM-3.1

Description

Discovered by Leonard Hinckley, February 1974. Discovered, 2011. This coin is a Top 100 Morgan VAM. 3 (revised) III2 2 - C3a (Doubled Stars & Eyelid, Near Date) Obverse III2 2 - Doubled left stars towards rim, eyelid and eye front. Date set further left than normal at right edge. Reverse C3b - 1891-S VAM-3.1 – ''Die marker'' – Vertical polishing line from wing edge up between st in Trust. DPIS - ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # 1891-S VAM-3 Die 2 was thought by the submitter to be the C3c reverse (1891-S VAM-10) and is at least very close to it. # There was a 1891-S VAM-3 Die #3 but it was found to be the LDS of 3.1.
