Description
Discovery March 2023, Ed Pope III2 2 • C3f (Far Date, Chip on Wreath) (?) Obverse III2 2 - Date set right of normal position. ''Die Marker'' - Heavy diagonal polishing line at top of T in LIBERTY. Reverse C3f - IV S mint mark filled and tilted slightly left with curved line at bottom right inside of lower loop. Chip at edge of wreath near E in UNITED on later die stages. Early die stage without gouge in wreath near U in UNITED. DPIS - RE3/LH5 ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: "1884-S VAM-2", "1884-S VAM-6",1884-S VAM-12, 1884-S VAM-20 :Reverse: 1884-S VAM-20, 1884-S VAM-11 Comments: # Obverse of 1884-S VAM-12, 1884-S VAM-11 # S mintmark is also set a little left.
