1884-P VAM-3 Large Dot Discovered by Francis Klaes, May 1962. This coin is a Top 100 Morgan VAM. 3 III2 3 - C3b (Large Dot) (189) Obverse III2 3- Large dot after engraver's initial M. Date set further right than normal. Reverse C3b- Small dot after engraver's initial M. DPIS - ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # 1884 VAM-3 Large Dot. This coin shows a dot near Morgan's M initial at the base of Liberty's neck. Note that [[1884-P VAM-4 is smaller than [[1884-P VAM-3 and is closer to the M than the large dot. Single and double clashed examples of this variety are known to exist.
