Description
The 1873 Proof Dollar Pattern - J-1305 is a proof dollar pattern struck at the Philadelphia Mint, part of the Trade Dollar Era Patterns (1871-1873) series. Its obverse is the long-handled seated Liberty of J-1299, and its reverse the TRADE DOLLAR wreath die of J-1276. Judd states that four were struck in copper, but only the Farouk example is verified. It is struck in copper with a reeded edge. USPatterns.com rates it R-8. It is also catalogued as Pollock-1448 and Taxay EP945. Cataloged as PCGS #61591.
