Description
The 1873 Proof Dollar Pattern - J-1304a is a proof dollar pattern struck at the Philadelphia Mint, part of the Trade Dollar Era Patterns (1871-1873) series. Its obverse is the long-handled seated Liberty of J-1299, and its reverse the TRADE DOLLAR wreath die of J-1276. The single silver example has not been seen since the Farouk sale. It is struck in silver with a reeded edge. USPatterns.com lists it as unique. It is also catalogued as Pollock-1447 and Taxay EP944. Cataloged as PCGS #61590.
