The 1873 Proof Dollar Pattern - J-1302 is a proof dollar pattern struck at the Philadelphia Mint, part of the Trade Dollar Era Patterns (1871-1873) series. Its obverse is the long-handled seated Liberty of J-1299, and its reverse William Barber's eagle standing on a shield with E PLURIBUS UNUM on a ribbon. USPatterns.com believes this plain-edge copper listing to be an error. Judd lists it in copper with a plain edge. It is also catalogued as Pollock-1444, Adams-Woodin 1332 and Taxay EP903. Cataloged as PCGS #61587.
