The 1869 Eagle Patterns page groups the eagle patterns dated 1869 in the Reconstruction Era Patterns (1866-1869) series, all struck at the Philadelphia Mint. J-779 and J-780 pair an obverse like the 1868 Liberty head eagle with the regular reverse, and J-781 to J-783 come from the regular dies in copper, aluminum and nickel. USPatterns.com reports that the Mint also struck complete sets from the regular dies of every denomination, cent through double eagle, in copper, aluminum and nickel for sale to collectors.
