Description
The 1864 Proof Two Cent Pattern - J-370 is a proof two-cent piece struck at the Philadelphia Mint, part of the Civil War Patterns (1860-1865) series. It is an off-metal striking of the regular 1864 two-cent dies with the large motto. Pollock left it out because it can hardly be told from a regular bronze coin without analysis. It is struck in copper with a plain edge; USPatterns rates it R-8. Catalogued as Judd-370, A/W 452. Cataloged as PCGS #60540.
