Error
Description
ADC-5c-1853-02 is an atypical die clash on an 1853 Seated Liberty half dime with arrows at the date, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. The dies clashed strongly. Parts of the ribbon that ties the two halves of the reverse wreath together are clashed through Liberty's head on the obverse. Other marks come from leaves of the wreath and from the field along the edge of one leaf. The hem of Liberty's gown is clashed into STATES and OF, and the field together with Liberty's left arm left one more clash mark.
