Description

The standard type 1776 Continental Currency dollar in pewter with the correct "Currency" spelling. This is the most commonly encountered variety of Continental Currency dollar, though all are rare in absolute terms. The obverse features a chain of thirteen interlocking rings representing the united colonies surrounding a sundial with FUGIO (Latin: "I fly," referring to time). The reverse reads AMERICAN CONGRESS and WE ARE ONE.
