1960 (D) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Small Date - Atypical Die Clash ADC-1c-1960D(SD)-44

Description

ADC-1c-1960D(SD)-44 is an atypical die clash on a 1960-D Small Date Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. STATES left a mark below Lincoln's bust, and the reverse has the matching mark from the lower edge of the bust running through STATES. The lower part of Lincoln's back also left a mark that runs from UNITED's D to the roof's left corner. In a separate event, the top of Lincoln's head left a mark across ONE's E and CENT's CE. The die can be identified by a scratch in the field before Lincoln's face. MDC gives an overlay of the die positions.
