1960 (D) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Small Date - Atypical Die Clash ADC-1c-1960D(SD)-39

Description

ADC-1c-1960D(SD)-39 is an atypical die clash on a 1960-D Small Date Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. ONE's N and CENT's C left clash marks on the obverse above Lincoln's head. The reverse, unexpectedly, has no matching marks through ONE CENT and no sign of the abrasion normally used to remove them, which suggests a different reverse die was in use when the clash happened. MDC gives an overlay of the die positions and links to its article on the 1960-D small date cent.
