1960-D Atypical Die Clash ADC-1c-1960D(SD)-35

Description

ADC-1c-1960D(SD)-35, Events A & B, Stages “B” & “C” This tilted die cash shows two events, both of which left a clash mark from the roof of the Memorial building entering into the 1 digit of the date. The image above shows event B, Stage “C”. This die can be easily recognized by its die chip in the 6 digit and the RPM. Also seen is a die chip in the U of UNITED. Event A shows as clash marks from the bottom of the letter E in UNITED, down into bay 3 of the Memorial building. The close proximity of these clash marks may indicate that these were caused by die chatter and not two separate clashings of the dies.
