Description
ADC-1c-1960D(SD)-29 is an atypical die clash on a 1960-D Small Date Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. On the obverse, the clash shows as a line running through the mint mark and into the 6 of the date; on the reverse, the mint mark left a mark in the M of AMERICA. A bar through STATES shows another clash, but it left no trace on the obverse die, and the same is true of a clash through ONE's E and CENT's C. A chipped-out R in LIBERTY identifies the die. MDC's clash-area notation is 5 / 1 4 5 (obverse / reverse), with an overlay.
