Description

This 1960-D Small Date Lincoln Memorial cent displays an atypical die clash with obverse clash marks left by the NE of ONE and the CE of CENT from the reverse die. The corresponding clash transfer from the top of Lincoln's head can be seen in the NE of ONE and the CE of CENT on the reverse, confirming the relative position of the two dies at the moment of the unintended contact. The overlay analysis reveals the precise angular relationship of the dies during the clash event.
