Description

ADC-1c-1960D(SD)-06 is an atypical die clash on a 1960-D Small Date Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. It is a tilted clash, and MDC notes that its position differs from the other clashed 1960-D small date dies it lists. STATES left clash marks, and the lower left of Lincoln's jacket and the top of his head also clashed. No matching mark shows above the head, but a clash line crosses NE in ONE and CE in CENT, and the E of UNITED left a mark too. Diagonal die scratches through the date help identify the die. MDC's clash-area notation is 2 3 / 1 3 5 (obverse / reverse), with an overlay of the die positions.
