Description
ADC-1c-1960D(SD)-03 is an atypical die clash on a 1960-D Small Date Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes in two die stages, B and C. In both, the letters TAT from STATES show in the obverse field under Lincoln's bust, and the reverse has a bar across STATES, made by the bottom of the bust and the field around it. Stage C adds a separate clash mark from the Memorial's roof line, and by then a die chip has formed at the right edge of the cornice. A die chip in the O of ONE is the same in both stages. MDC's clash-area notation is 3 / 1 for stage B and 3 4 / 1 for stage C (obverse / reverse), with overlays of the die positions.
