Description

ADC-1c-1960D(SD)-01 is an atypical die clash on a 1960-D Small Date Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. It is a tilted clash; the dies were rotated about 6° and slightly offset when they met. Below Lincoln's bust, the obverse shows the upright strokes of both Ts in STATES and part of the A. On the reverse, the lower edge of the bust and the field beside it left a bar through STATES. MDC's clash-area notation is 3 / 1 (obverse / reverse), and its overlays show the die rotation and how the marks on the two dies correspond.
