The 2025 (S) Proof American Innovation Dollar - Texas is a proof dollar struck at the San Francisco Mint, part of the American Innovation Dollars 2018 to Date series. The U.S. Mint produced 61,607 examples, making this the lowest mintage among 24 mint variants, representing only less than 1% of total production. The obverse features the Statue of Liberty with a geared background representing innovation and the reverse displays rotating designs honoring innovations and innovators from each state and territory. This coin honors Johnson Space Center's Mission Control in Houston, which has provided the logistical and communications backbone for every U.S. crewed spaceflight since Gemini 4 in 1965. Hawaii (surfing — Duke Kahanamoku), Idaho (television — Philo Farnsworth), Missouri (the ice cream cone — 1904 World's Fair), and Arkansas (Walmart and modern retail innovation — Sam Walton).
