2025 (D) Lincoln Shield Cent - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-001

Description

2025-D WDDR-001 is a doubled die reverse on the 2025-D Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. Doubling shows on the shield's horizontal bar, at its lower right edge, and also on the upper left corners of vertical stripes 11 and 13. Obverse markers: tiny gouges under and right of the D in GOD; a diagonal crack running NW from the eyebrow's front into the forehead; a small area of die damage on the central temple; a gouge (dot) behind the central ear; a tiny gouge (dot) under the tip of the nose; and a gouge (dot) on the upper edge of the lapel. Reverse markers: a tiny gouge NE of the N in UNITED; light vertical gouges over the E of STATES and NE of it; a vertical gouge right of the upper part of the C in AMERICA; a chip on the shield's upper edge over the U of PLURIBUS, with a light crack running west from that chip; and a tiny gouge on the central part of the right ribbon curl.
