Inscriptions: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, PATSY TAKEMOTO MINK, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 25 CENTS and EQUAL OPPORTUNITY IN EDUCATION. First woman of color elected to the U.S. Congress and principal author of Title IX, the landmark gender-equity-in-education law. Reverend Dr. Pauli Murray, Patsy Takemoto Mink, Dr. Mary Edwards Walker, Celia Cruz, and Zitkala-Sa. Murray was a civil rights activist and co-founder of NOW. The San Francisco Mint, a Gold Rush-era institution, now specializes in proof and collector coinage. Estimated market value ranges from $0.25 to $4 depending on grade and condition.
