Description
The 2024 (D) Zitkala-Ša Quarter is a quarter produced at the Denver Mint as part of the American Women Quarters (2022 - 2025) series. The U.S. Mint produced 170.2 million examples, making this ranked 12th of 15 mint variants by mintage, with 10% of production. The obverse features George Washington facing right in a new dynamic portrait by Laura Gardin Fraser (her original 1931 design, finally adopted 90 years later) and the reverse displays unique designs honoring prominent American women who shaped the nation's history. Reverend Dr. Pauli Murray, Patsy Takemoto Mink, Dr. Mary Edwards Walker, Celia Cruz, and Zitkala-Sa. Murray was a civil rights activist and co-founder of NOW. Struck at the Denver Mint, established in 1906 from an earlier assay office that processed Colorado gold rush metal. Estimated market value ranges from $0 to $1 depending on grade and condition.
