2024 (P) Zitkala-Ša Quarter - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-011

Description

2024-P ZS WDDR-011 is a doubled die reverse on the 2024-P Zitkala-Ša quarter (American Women series), cataloged by the Wexler team. Doubling to the west shows on Zitkala-Ša's left sleeve, the right braid and the right glass tube beads, with slight doubling to the east on the top of the book and the lower left braid. Obverse markers: north-south cracks on the eyebrow; a thin crack with a small chip on the nose's edge; a north-south crack on the back of the mouth; a gouge over the N of IN, on its right side; and a gouge right of the Y of LIBERTY. Reverse markers: a chip on the bird's head, with a crack running E through its beak; a crack with a small chip on Zitkala-Ša's left sleeve; a large triangular dent right of the last T of ACTIVIST; a gouge over the E of CENTS; a gouge under the UN of UNITED; a gouge left of the first S of STATES; a large gouge over the F of OF; and gouges at the rim over the first E of E PLURIBUS UNUM and over the RI of AMERICA. James Hanes submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references. Wexler notes it closely resembles WDDR-009 and suggests comparing the doubling and markers of the two.
