Description
2022 WDDR-003 is a doubled die reverse on the 2022 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The initials JFM and LB show moderate extra thickness. On the obverse, one gouge lies over the 02 of the date and another over the RT of LIBERTY, and over the eyebrow a crack runs south, then turns east. On the reverse, a crack lies above EPL, with a small chip between the P and L. Jon Rhodes submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references. Wexler's comments are unsure whether this is a replacement die: the Wexler files held several photos labeled with the 2022 date but no further information, and all 2022 WDDR listings are being redone as new.
