2020 (P) Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park Quarter - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-003

Description

2020-P VT WDDR-003 is a doubled die reverse on the 2020-P Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park quarter (Vermont) in the America the Beautiful series, cataloged by the Wexler team. On the tree's right side, an extra branch sits between the two lowest branches. Obverse markers: gouges over the B in LIBERTY, under the Q of QUARTER and under the first R of QUARTER; a gouge right of the D in GOD at its base; and gouges inside the U of UNITED and between the I and T of that word. On the reverse, a chip sits on the lower part of the girl's hair, a crack crosses her elbow, a small gouge lies under the hand in which she holds the trowel, and a gouge lies in the field under the O in ROCKEFELLER, toward its right side. Eric Schmidt submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references. Wexler notes this listing replaces an earlier one: the first WDDR-003 was in fact WWHR-001, a working hub issue.
