Documented by VarietyVista with die marker codes UVC-825 and DMR-002, the 2019 DDR-001 Roosevelt Dime presents a strong spread on the upper right central olive leaf in the lower right leaf cluster of the torch wreath — a location where the leaf's curved form and defined edges make even moderate hub displacement clearly visible against the surrounding design elements. Three die states chart the die's production life: Stage A in early die state (EDS), unconfirmed; Stage B in mid-die state (MDS), where strong feeder finger damage appears running east-west through the upper torch on the reverse while the obverse also reaches MDS; and Stage C in late die state (LDS), unconfirmed. The feeder finger damage documented at Stage B — horizontal striations across the torch caused by the planchet feed mechanism contacting the die face — provides a powerful secondary attribution marker beyond the doubled die feature itself. Feeder finger damage occurs when the mechanical fingers that advance planchets into the striking chamber brush against the die surface, and the east-west orientation through the torch indicates the feed direction relative to the die's installed position in the press. The Roosevelt Dime, designed by John R. Sinnock with his JS initials on the truncation of Roosevelt's neck, is struck in clad composition (copper-nickel bonded to a pure copper core) at 2.27 grams with a 17.9 mm diameter. The 2019 issue represents a mature period of Roosevelt Dime production, more than seven decades after the design's 1946 introduction.
