Description
The 2019 (P) Lowell National Park Quarter is a quarter produced at the Philadelphia Mint as part of the America the Beautiful Quarters 2010-2021 series. The obverse features George Washington facing left, based on a 1786 bust by Jean-Antoine Houdon and the reverse displays unique designs featuring national parks and sites from each state and territory. The reverse depicts a mill girl working at a power loom with the Boott Mill clock tower visible through a window. Lowell preserves the history of America's Industrial Revolution and its first large-scale factory system. Lowell (MA), American Memorial (MP), War in the Pacific (GU), San Antonio Missions (TX), and Frank Church River of No Return (ID) were released. American Memorial Park (Northern Mariana Islands) honored WWII Pacific Theater veterans. Struck at the original U.S. Mint facility, in continuous operation since 1792. Estimated market value ranges from $0 to $1 depending on grade and condition. Struck in 75% copper, 25% nickel over a pure copper center, weighing 5.67 grams, 24.3 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge.
