The 2019 Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Commemorative Dollar is a United States dollar from the Modern Commemorative Dollars (1982-Date) series. In 2019, the Philadelphia Mint struck 352,029 of these dollars, uncirculated and proof together, by the Mint's figures. The coin is curved: a bootprint on the Moon with MERCURY, GEMINI and APOLLO between phases of the Moon on the dished obverse, and on the domed reverse Buzz Aldrin's visor reflecting Neil Armstrong, the flag and the lunar module. A modern issue from an era of rotating coin designs, collector-focused programs, and renewed interest in numismatic artistry. Struck in 99.9% silver, weighing 26.73 grams, with a reeded edge.
